I know that I should feel angry
But all I feel is pain
I want to break out of this lethargy
But it is all in vain
I know that I should feel happy
But that ability is gone
I want to unlock this padlocked chest
But the key was stolen – gone
Sometimes life breaks through the wall
And emotions can wash clean
Then the chink locks again
I am a stagnant pool
Someday this will all be different
Life will win this death
Good will triumph over evil
With forgiveness in its wake
